The Game

Heya again!

This one took quite a while to finish up, but I enjoyed making it. I kept procrastinating, and I am working hard on learning *actual* technique instead of throwing together what I know works. A little bit of that has been applied here in the polish, but this was still a bit of me bumbling.

In this one, I challenge the listener to a little bit of a game, and play with the rules as I please, along with giving a small reward (No not that kind) so that all the playing was worth it.

There is *one* permanent suggestion in the file, but it is supposed to be fun and lighthearted, and meta about the file itself. Below are a detailed explanation of what my goals are, and spoilers for the file.

Exploring the Mists

 Heya!

I spoke about this on the Bluesky account, but here it is!

And with this post, a new tag!
I am going to mark anything that I like the idea of to use forward as "Foundational"
See: The deep breath file. I want to use these files as building blocks to add small flavor to my work.

And with this, a new way of describing files? I am going to keep doing it differently until I find a way that works for me.

Here's the file!

If it's any indication, I got myself with this one in editing. I'm taking it as proof that I'm doing better.

Have a good new year!

Clockwork Dance

 Heya!

I lied about the double feature, time was not kind to me on writing...
However, I am not empty handed! Behold, the fruits of my labor!!

This is a nice clockwork piece, and something that I have wanted to make since I started. I decided to try and do it early, because I will do more like this in the future and it will be a great piece to use as a marker of progress. I am proud of some of the lines I have written, and overall I felt confident as I recorded, so much so that instead of rewriting paragraphs, I actually added some instead and kept the original script mostly intact!

But without further ado, Here it is!
Edit: I decided to add an alternative ending file, and as such I have updated the script inside to include both versions. Please let me know what you prefer!

Personally, I love clockwork themes so I hope that this love shows through the work today.

Update!

 Heya listeners,

I have not forgotten about this blog, in fact it's been on my mind for a while during the silence! I am just writing up two files at the moment between some live events and I think they'll be decent experiments and branching out.

First, is a file about mist as a set piece and a hopefully common theme that I can carry through with future files.

Second, is a piece dedicated to puppetry and clockwork (A favorite of mine).

I don't have an estimated time that either will be done, but they're shaping up to be shorter than the last file for certain. Hopefully those who may be waiting for this understand the delay. In other news though, I have started practicing live working on hypno, to hopefully practice in a new way so that I more fluently am able to speak during recordings, which will allow me to get stuff out that little bit quicker and more confidently to boot!

Anyways, Have a good one! Hopefully you won't need to wait too much longer!

A small change.

 So,

While I was working on other files and getting new ideas, a friend had suggested to me that I should also include the script that I wrote with what I post. I agree with them, despite my self-conscious nature of what I write wanting me to keep that hidden.

Each file should have a script in a google drive folder with it.
These scripts are:
 1. unpolished

 2. May not 100% fit the recording exactly, as I do sometimes make changes on the fly to better flow into one point

3. Should match enough to give a comfort in what one is listening to.

My original thought of not posting the script was both out of shame of how I write (which is very off-the-cuff and I use when I record and speak as a way to polish the rough draft. These posts are hardly curated as is.) and because I didn't think it would be that important to include.

Speaking of these other files, I may have to cull one of them despite it being a idea I am in love with. I have zero ETA when the next one will be made, and I don't feel like putting deadlines on a hobby. Work gives enough of those already.

Anyways, Thanks for reading this update!

Deep breathing

This file took about 2 weeks more to finish due to external reasons. Anyways this file is based around deep breathing and relaxation. I love the concept of using the breath to further trance. Part of me thinks that if I focused on one technique more than another, or I followed the rule of three for parts...

Anyways!

The first files!

Might as well also talk about what I have done so far!

The first is just a practice piece, labeled "Practice!" to where I talk about how it is practice for me, but also practice for you. It is a mix of a relaxation and shock induction. It was just supposed to be a short and quick up and down to get me familiar with the principles of it. Take a look here!

FILE CONTENTS:

The second piece I put together was a confusion induction, with some elements of relaxation to try and make a theme piece. I feel really proud of this piece, but after some retrospective I think it feels a bit fast and forced at some aspects. My goal was to make a piece in the theme of a college lesson, about the kitsune (Which I mispronounce despite knowing better) with a bit of a surprise twist.
Give it a listen here!
